Heydar Aliyev Center
It is considered as one of the main attractions for tourists and has also become a symbol of modern Azerbaijan and modern Baku. Zaha Hadid, the author of the building’s design, is a worldwide recognized architect and the winner of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize and Design of the Year award for her design of Heydar Aliyev Center. The overall shape of the building resembles a wave-like ascension from the ground towards the sky followed by gradual descent down to the earth.
The Classic Cars exhibition, jointly organized by the Automobile Federation of Azerbaijan, collections of Classic Remise (Germany) and "Schlumpf" (France), as well as the National Museum of cars, features cars produced in Germany, USA, France, Italy, Great Britain and the former Soviet republics since the inception of the automotive industry - that is, from the end of the XIX century. Visitors make an excursion into the history of the automotive industry, as well as get acquainted with the stages of development of the automotive industry. The exhibition, which is presenting an extensive collection of exhibits, also demonstrates road signs, publications about cars and other accessories related to different periods, and video, prepared on the basis of archival materials.
Ateshgah
Ateshgah (Suraxani Fire Temple) - "Fire Temple of Baku" is a castle-like religious temple based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the Zoroastrian place of worship. Although the site was originally a place of worship for Zoroastrians, the fortified complex you see today was built by 18th-century Indian Shiva devotees.
Yanardagh
Burning Mountain is considered as “eternal fire” and fulfills the trip with unique and interesting experience. In the 13th century Marco Polo mentioned numerous natural-gas flames spurting spontaneously from the Absheron Peninsula. The only one burning today is Yanardagh.
