If you are in Azerbaijan, do not leave the country before eating the “Lavangi”, “Tandir Bread”, and “Khan Plov”. It is the best time to take away all business and relax within one night during magical trip to South Azerbaijan, and taste those delicious foods. The tour has been planned to one of the charming places of Azerbaijan – to Lankaran and Masalli.
One of the fascinating regions of Azerbaijan, Lankaran is located on the coast of the Caspian Sea, near the southern border with Iran. This is one of the most interesting cities in the country with its exquisite architecture, a wonderful climate and beautiful natural landscapes. Many of the local population are ethnic Talysh, who have to this day preserved their ancient traditions and customs. The Lankaran region's subtropical climate is ideal for growing citrus fruits, rice, grapes and tobacco and Lankaran tea is famous through the country. Hirkan National Park (home to the Caucasian leopard) and Gizilagaj Reserve are partially located in Lankaran and are extremely interesting for eco-tourism enthusiasts. There are also plenty of historical monuments in Lankaran, notably the Lankaran Fortress, or more accurately, its remaining fragments.
Masalli is the wonderfull region of Azerbaijan that the district is washed by the Caspian Sea in the east, and in the west, it approaches Talish Mountains, Burovar ridge. Height of the territory reaches 917 meters above sea level. The region is, mostly, famous for its mineral and geothermal springs, and subtropical forests. Therefore, medical treatment will be included this one night trip.

Hirkan National Park
Hirkan National Park was established in 09 February 2004. The National Park is located on the shores of the Caspian Sea in the southeast of Azerbaijan. By the Decree dated on 23 April 2008 of the President of Azerbaijan the area of Hirkan National park was enlarged to 40358 hectares. The park encompasses a virgin part of the Talish Mountains which are distinguished for its unique natural components. The mission of the National Park is to ensure the conservation of relict and endemic plant species of the Tertiary period. The protection of typical flora and fauna representatives of this area listed in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The area is used as a place in the implementation of environmental monitoring and public environmental education, as well as research on tourism and recreation.
Museums
Since Lankaran is famous for its historical and architectural places, the trip is including to visit the museum of people “who live the longest”, Lankaran Khan Palace and the house museum of Hazi Aslanov.
In the museum of people “who live the longest”, the youngest person is 113, and the oldest one is 168 years old. Clothes, special items, letters of those people are preserved in the museum since 1991.
Also, in Lankaran, the house museum of Hazi Aslanov is conserved. He was Azerbaijani major-general of the Soviet armored troops during World War II. Aslanov was awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union title twice.

Istisu
“Hotwater!” Isti su – is one of the therapeutic water of Azerbaijan. It is situated at 13 km distance form Masalli city, on the bank of Vilash Lake. This water contains hydrogen sulphite, sodium chlorite, magnesium, hydrocarbonate and 30 milligrams of iodine in 1 litre. This water is extracted from 90-250 km depth of the earth at temperature more than 60 degrees. The following diseases can be treated with this water: rheumatism and its complications; skin diseases; diseases of kidney and urinary tract radiculitis; prostate; hypertension; diseases of liver and bile duct; female diseases; female and male childlessness; gastrointestinal diseases; traumatic injuries.
