Route (length 25+ km, max height 2500 m / hiking+trekking)
So, where are we going? To the place at the border between the village of Griz, one of the most unique and picturesque settlements in Guba and Grizdahna village where the immigrants from Griz settled down, close to the mountain where they had come to each other's home, a bit higher than the Girdakh waterfall, the nearest Mount Mastargah, to a place where there are trees with large umbrella shadows, along with flowering meadows. Imagine, you are in the plains of the mountains, there are villages below you, sheep herds, green forests, and invisible roads ...
It is very easy to get to the area, there is no dangerous road to the place where we will build a tent, and it is a comfortable place for everyone to come from 7 to 70 years old.
There is also a "surprise" for extreme lovers. There is Babey waterfall, which is located in a rather charming and extreme terrain above the Gur-Gur Waterfall, known as the "Frozen Waterfall". Note that there are no tourists in the Babey Falls, and you can be the first to go.
For those who want to walk, there is enough space to explore, and for those who want to relax there is a chance to chill in the tents, relax under tree shadows.
It’s clear in the days of camping and the moon is relatively full. Such nights are like milk, surrounded by stars, and you cannot saturate the view of the full moonlight.
Program of the tour
DAY 1
07:30 - Leaving Baku
10:30 - Reaching the village of Grizdahna
10:40 - Starting a walk to the camp area
12:00 - Getting to the site (accommodating, building tents)
13:00 - Lunch and tea break
14:00 - Hiking to Grizdahna waterfall and Mastargah Mountain, exploring the surrounding landscapes
18:00 - Return to camp site, free time and tea break
19:00 - Going to the place with Gusar region and the Shahdag view, watching the sunset, taking photos
20:30 - Return to the camp
21:00 - We gather around bonfire, but do not eat dinner, instead we drink coffee brewed on the hearth
22:00 - Going to our tents to sleep
DAY 2
05:10 - if you want you wake up and come to watch the sunrise, if you don’t want you open the door of the tent and waiting for the sunlight filling it
07:30 - Waking up and breakfast
08:30 - Going to the Babey Waterfall, the distance is 8-9 km (those who do not want to stay in the camp will spend time with one of us, explore the area, play games)
12:30 - Coming to the waterfall and free time
13:30 - Setting out from the waterfall to the camp
16:00 - Free time at the camp
17:00 - Collect our stuff and going to the village
18:10 - We leave to Baku
21:00 - We arrive in Baku
Notes:
- Please note that combination of comfortable and mountain cars will be used, depending on the condition of terrain
- In the main price mountain guide is included, if you choose with Guide option, then we will provide you with guide to accompany you throughout your whole journey
Things to take:
- Backpack (35-65 liters)
- Comfortable clothing, water and windproof jacket
- Comfortable and waterproof bot or sneakers (slippers for walking around camping)
- The sunglasses (important)
- Sun cream
- Additional clothing (socks, short sleeves, hat, gloves, etc.)
- Personal belongings (thermos, dishes, napkins, cups etc)
- Sticks for walking
About Food:
- Anyone can take a meal with them. However, the package includes a meal and tea break
- Take a daily dining and water supply. Bread, chocolate, dried fruits, desserts, vegetables, various canned foods (thermos are desirable to take boiling water). Do not forget to take a small cup for your water.
