Shopping in Baku

Baku is the center of shopping and probably one of the best cities in Caucasus where you can find anything for the best price. And you know what the amazing part is? Twice every year there’s a shopping Festival in Baku that usually commences on May 1st and on October 1st and continues for the whole month. The Festival is generally organized with the support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is intended to play a significant role in trade and tourism development. The special thing about it is that it’s completely tax free. Baku Shopping Festival turns the entire city into international trading center just within a month!

Azerbaijan is the only country that holds this Festival in Caucasus and annually we receive guests from post-Soviet countries as well as from Europe and Middle East.

As a tourist destination Baku is full of various fashionable boutiques, stores with famous brands as Gucci, Bulgari, Burberry, Lacoste, Giorgio Armani, Channel, Alexander McQueen, Emilio Pucci, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, Massimo Dutti, Tiffany & Co, Valentino and so much more.

Baku is also famous for its malls. While walking in the Seaside Boulevard, you can visit Port Baku where you can find absolutely anything when it comes to famous brands related to accessories, clothes, cosmetics, perfumery, watches and souvenirs. Walking a little bit further, you’ll see a trade center made of green glass named “Park Bulvar”. This is a perfect place to visit various cafeterias and eat the tastiest ice cream in Ca’d Oro on the third floor. “Park Bulvar” also has a lot of shopping stores and boutiques where you can find clothes, handbags, shoes and other nice accessories. 

One of the best malls that was built in Baku approximately 6 years ago was “28 Mall”. It was one of the best innovations that happened in tourism. 5-floor Mall offers the best stores with famous brands such as Zara, Mango, New Yorker, Ideal Perfumery, Next, Pink, Bershka, Swarowski, Yves Rocher, cafes and restaurants on the 4th floor and cinema on the 5th floor.

If you’re in Baku for shopping, don’t miss “Ganjlik Mall” which is located just in the entrance of Ganjlik metro station. You’ll guaranteed to be amazed by the various choices of stores. From men’s & women’s clothing to shoes, from perfumery & cosmetics to accessories & bags and from kids’ clothing to furniture and jewellery, Ganjlik Mall is the place for you. But it’s not all. On the upper floor you’ll find a book store and toy stores for kids. There’s also a cinema just next to the restaurants and cafeterias.

Additionally, don’t miss the opportunity to visit Old Baku Souvenir Shop in the Old city. It’s a shop with special gifts which reflects rich Azerbaijani culture. You’ll also enjoy walking in the ancient roads of the Old city.

Moreover, you can visit Fountain Square which is located in close vicinity of the Old city. There you can find well-known shops as Bershka, Zara, Six, Madam Coco, Levi’s and so much more. You’ll see a long street full of stores, boutiques and restaurants. While visiting the Fountain Square you’ll both enjoy the shopping and benefit from the restaurants.
