Guba is located in the northwest in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus. There is no airport. You can get there only by land transport. Guba has wonderful nature - dense forests, waterfalls, rivers and the Gudialchay canyon. Guba region is considered the center of carpet weaving in Azerbaijan. One of the carpets is even placed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In Guba there are mosques built in the 18th and 19th centuries - the Juma Mosque and the Sakina Khanum Mosque. In addition, it is worth taking a look at the Chukhur hamama bath, in which Alexander Dumas and the Gudialchay Bridge were washed. In Guba, at an altitude of 2200 meters, the village of Khinalig is located, which is included in UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The most popular restaurants are The Challette Steakhouse and Chinar. Lankaran is a city in the south-west of Azerbaijan. Get to the city by land mode of transport. You can visit the beaches with black healing sand. Be sure to look at the Lankaran fortress of the 18th century, the Kichik-Bazar mosque of the 19th century and the house of Mirahmad Khan of the 19th century. Visit the Lankaran lighthouse and the local history museum. This city will please fans of outdoor activities. There are mountains and forests. Sheki is the northern point of Azerbaijan and is located in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus. The Sheki halva immediately comes to mind. However, Sheki is full of its sights and interesting places for walking. The place that you need to see first of all is the Palace of Sheki Khans. Built in the 18th century without a single nail. Also walk to the fortress and visit the Upper and Lower Caravanserais. In Sheki, many ancient mosques erected in the 18-19 centuries. To visit mosques it is worthwhile to allocate one free day. Museums of famous Azerbaijani figures are also located here. Sheki's cuisine is abundant both in terms of sweets and ordinary dishes. What you should definitely try is the Sheki piti and halva.
