Seaside Park - Another name is Boulevard. This is the longest park in Baku, the length reaches 25 km. You can enjoy the beauty of the Boulevard and the Caspian Sea. Exotic perennial trees add charm to the walk. In the new part of the park beyond the Flag Square there is an artificial lake and a train car of the 20th century. In the middle of the park is "Little Venice". Gondola riding is chargeable. After a long walk, relax on the numerous benches on the park and on the piers that go deep into the sea.
Old Town (Icharisheher) - Located in the city center behind the metro station of the same name. This Baku fortress is the foundation of ancient Baku. Entrance and walk through the Old Town is free. From the inside, look at the ancient buildings and tools on the walls. Films such as The Diamond Arm and Amphibian Man were shot on the streets of Icharisheher. Each lane is part of the history of Baku, where you can easily get lost.
Museum of miniature books - This museum is located inside the old city. Hit the Guinness Book of Records. The museum was founded in 1982. It works every day, except Mondays and Thursdays, from 11:00 to 17:00.
Upland Park - One of the highest points in the city of Baku. A staircase and cable car leads to the top. The funicular ride is paid. It offers panoramic views of the coastal part of Baku and the Flame Towers building. If you want spectacular photographs in the background of Baku, then here you are.
Alley of Martyrs - Located in Upland Park. Admission is free. This is the burial place of the victims on January 20, 1918 and the Karabakh war. There are many tall trees in the alley, and at the very top there is a memorial complex where eternal flame burns. Entrance is open around the clock.
Fountain Square - This is the very first square built in Baku. It was reconstructed more than once. There are a large number of different fountains. They work mainly in the summer and almost all day. Another square adjoins to it. Popularly referred to as "Torgovi". There were traders who sold paraphernalia related to Azerbaijani culture - hats, skullcaps, etc. Now it’s just a walking area with a lot of shops and restaurants.
