Where is Lankaran? - It is located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, to the west of the Caspian Sea. It is one of the most fascinating places to visit in Azerbaijan and obviously, is preferred by the tourists.

Talysh makes up to the great portion of the local population; they have preserved their ancient customs and traditions to this day (you should taste "Lavangi"-national food specific to this region, it is unbelievably amazing).
Hirkan National Park and Gizilagaj Reserve should be noted specifically in this region; they are intersting places for eco-tourism purposes. Moreover, there are plenty of historical monuments in Lankaran; Lankaran Fortress is a symbol of Lankaran's architecture.
